DigiTech
Добавлен 1 фев 2008
Born with philosophy of developing high-quality DSP-based audio products at an affordable price, DigiTech got its start at the beginning of the digital audio revolution in 1984. DigiTech has gone on to pioneer many innovations in the music industry. In its first couple of years on the market, it blazed many new trails creating entirely new product categories such as the first multi-effects (DSP-128), looper/delay pedals (PDS-1002 and PDS-8000), and vocal harmony processors (VHM-5). In 1988 DigiTech delivered the Whammy Pedal, the pedal that completely revolutionized pitch shifting for guitar. The Whammy has been named as one of the top 5 most important guitar effects of all time. It can be heard on countless albums and helped solidify the DigiTech brand as a leader in the industry.

The Chthonic (pronounced Thaw-nik) is a thick dark silicon fuzz made specifically for bright low-output single coil pickups and bright clean amp channels. All guitars (not bass) in this demo are using the Chthonic - P90's Strat MiM singles, and Lipstick Tube pickups. The clean-up with the guitar volume knob is exemplary and yields a host of clean to overdrive tones. If you want thick single-not...

Re-release the Digitech Talker !
You made me listen to that awful intro and then you played a ridiculous awful intro and then showed us one feature of the pedal. Nice. Bait and switch.
Ola boa noite, eu quero saber qual foi o ano de lançamentos da pedaleira Digitech rp 1000 por favor se poder me ajude eu lhe agradeço
Ok so, this is just the Classic monophonic mode.
Please guys, as an owner of a gsp1101, do a video about the development and details about it. I believe that was an amazing product, ahead of it's time, and seems to me it inherited a lot of lexicon latest rack platform. C63 firmware made it a hell of a unit, by adding clever routing and functionality, but most of all, custom impulse responses. That was a major hit in a time were you couldn't take an IR with you and gave the 1101 a new sonic life. For many people like me, that couldn't sell a kidney for an axefx, was the best possible on the midrange market. Today i still use it for recording guitar, vocals, bass, as a midicontroller for a daw (studio one), and stays strong with the use of impulses against any midrange effect unit. Built like a tank, control 2 and the only cat5 cable for power and data was remarkable. I think many standard features of today's modellers were pioneered or put into an affordable pro level unit thanks to the 1101, and maybe it could've been serious competition to the axefx (i know it surpassed the eleven rack back then, probably the most direct competition, and probably the line 6 units of the time). The "mustbebeta" forum was a very interesting adventure with a lot of ideas and beta testing from users, and should have been official. Could've done a lot of good to the brand in terms of support and building a strong user base, which was of the most critical importance back then as it is today. By the way, not many people remembers the digitech venture on tube amps. I always thought it would go into tube or solid state stereo power amps for the FX/modeller units. That would've been a killer idea.
teaches nothing about using the unit....
0:10 digitech wahmmy
Whoa someone having all the original code of the space station is huge! It’d be really cool to see something inspired of that. Another fantastic interview, talking about the realities of the industry and the direction y’all are going forward with. Excited for what’s next!
Love this interview! Is the Twin behind Tom "The" Twin that so many of my favorite pedals were vetted through? I appreciate Roger painting a clearer picture of what the dynamic between him and Jason was. I'm so excited for what's next to y'all. Don't tease us with the istomp shop!
RIP jason lamb
where tf is billy c? i don't see him anywhere.
An update to ipb 10 that is compatible with iOS and Android would be great. also that it has a 32-bit processor, irs, double effects loop, XLR outputs and when changing presets or turning off a Reverb or delay effects, the tails of the effect are heard in the new preset. Saludos!! I love Digitech.
John Johnson was thinking about purchasing Diditech not long ago, Glad you are bringing it back. I hope you continue with "Hardwire" Bypass on the pedals. Before I left Harmon I told Rob that when using multiple pedals in series the noise of active circuits in pedals not in use would become unbearable even with a noisegate in the chain. A year after I left I saw the first ad for Hardwire pedal series. So when a Pedal is not used in the chain the circuit would bypass the active componants into a trace straight to the output for the next link in the chain. Wish you guys the best !
🫵🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥😘👏👏👏❤️
how do you Set pedal for open G tuning please
Awesome 🤩🤩🤩🐴🤩🤩🤩
Would LOVE to go to those music hall stores, they look like a dream come true for a day of window shopping
cool will try that
Nothing makes me happier than seeing Digitech back together. I grew up as a kid pining over the early multi-fx pedals which I'd never be able to afford, but always played around with at the guitar shop. First MFX unit I finally got was the GNX4, which is still one of my favorite pieces of gear just for the fact it had a drum machine and 8 track recorder in it. Nothing I've seen since has had that feature set. It was a blast to check out the different effects types and really kicked off my love for pedals in general. Wasn't till much later I found out the company was based out of Utah. Looking forward to see what you guys come up with in the future.
오래전부터 DOD, Digitech 페달들을 사용했고, 지금도 Hardwire 페달들을 사용하고 있는데, 더 좋은 제품이 나오길 기대합니다.
I love these videos. History in the making.
Damn, I miss Seoul! Btw.: Could you please make a new whammy and make the volume of the added note adjustable in harmony mode? Tnx!
And remake the PDS1002 with the left pedal a looper/freeze and create user presets for both left and right [i'm dreaming now]
We need you guys to build the ultimate RP with seamless patch changes, IR capable, and be phone app programmable because nobody wants to have to kneel or bend over or bust out the pc or laptop to tweak presets while performing/rehearsing.
More of this, pretty please! So cool and exciting.
That was really cool! I worked with both of you guys for 17 years. I know a lot of this stuff, but it was Jim's insights into the roots of DOD/Digitech that I found so interesting. I am glad he had such passion and still does!! Great things come from people with both Vision AND Passion for what they are doing!! Go TEAM DOD/Digitech!!!! P.S. I think I need to go back and listen to some Sonic Youth!! haha!
Great interview. Nice to have these insights into the way the phoenix was resurrected. I have worked in the corporate world all my life, and my success came from seeing the business as my own, and the ability to put myself in the customers shoes. The Freqout pedal is number one on my list, saving. Please make these interviews a permanent fixture. I find the content extremely interesting. Thank you.
Is this a repost? I've seen this...
No. It's not.
fire !
Good afternoon What is the best way to connect it to get the best sound? I have a Wenstone 120 amp, now I have it like this, mono out of the rp to the return of the amp. Is there a better way to connect it? Thank you so much
Buenas tardes Cual es la mejor manera de conectarla para sacarle el mejor sonido? Tengo un ampli Wenstone de 120 , ahora la tengo asi , out mono de la rp al retorno del ampli. Existe una mejor manera de conectarla? Muchas gracias
massa, bela atuação
Dude! Your voice sounds exactly like Kelly Holland from Cry of Love! I wish I had your voice!
I'm so hoping I can do that soon. It's complex the way your lead riff and lead break are timed
Chapo l'artiste
Awesome job.
Can mic and guitar both work with this at once?

graphite neck tele?
Hey now. I play sludge doom noise music. This pedal could help. Glad to finally see tutorial with some type of extreme heavy rock. Thanks
That was awesome! 👌🏽💙💚
🤮🤮🤮
🔥
Where do I plug in the trio + looper ?
can I use it a simple wha??
sounds really bad at the end after all that.
I hope nobody opens that door behind you while you have your very expensive guitar leaning precariously on its stand in front of it. Those old Hamer guitars are badass. At least you're not a gear snob.
I want a digitech pedal that creates a guitar solo from me slapping asscheeks
the video I was looking for - thanks!
